Greetings Fellow Babies!

Today we bring you a very special rarity… Recorded live only two scant months after their debut album release, TIGRA ’88 (The International German Rock Award) was the beginning of an European love affair with the Jeff Healey Band. November 24th, 1988 at the Munich Olympiahalle, the TIGRA awards show was the band’s first time performing in Germany. Over the next dozen years the country would become a favourite touring spot for Jeff, (as documented in the spectacular 3CD/2DVD set As The Years Go Passing By: Live in Germany 1989-1995-2000) their fantastic and appreciative audiences, always giving the band an extra fire… From 1988 to 2000, the German leg of a European tour was consistently a memorable one. …

Here, presented in its entirety, is the JHB’s spectacular five song set… with the added bonus of the ultra rare closing jam… Jeff sitting in with R&B/funk legends Kool & The Gang on their classic song, ‘Celebration’!

‘Jeff Healey Blues Band’ guitarist, Dan Noordermeer still vividly remembers Jeff reflecting back on this gig almost 20 years later… saying to him, “The hardest I ever had my ass ‘kicked’ on stage was from the bass player in Kool & the Gang!”

Enjoy! ~Rog
