Toronto, ON – Today the Jeff Healey Estate announces the worldwide offering of Heal My Soul via PledgeMusic. The March 25th release is the first new, original Jeff Healey rock material in over 15 years. This incredible lost album features some of the most powerful and passionate performances Healey ever committed to record.
Launching this campaign is the Heal My Soul – “100 Watt Stack Edition” box set via PledgeMusic. This limited edition set contains an impressive array of offers for fans. From exclusive and limited CD & vinyl music content to custom made Healey apparel, the commemorative box set and its components have been compiled with the participation and full approval of the Jeff Healey Estate to coincide with what would have been Healey’s 50th birthday on March 25th, 2016.
“In sharing this significant release, The Jeff Healey Estate is making a statement to the world,” says Cristie Healey, Executor/Co-Administrator of the Jeff Healey Estate. “Remarkable, musical treasures that Jeff left behind will be made available for us to experience for years to come. The unearthing of this lost album is a project that will highlight Jeff’s incredible talent. With this gift of never before released amazing music, we invite Jeff’s fans to join us in celebration of his 50th birthday.”
Roger Costa, Archivist/Co-Administrator of the Jeff Healey Estate adds, “Coordinating the production of Heal My Soul has been an absolute labour of love for all involved and we are thrilled to be able to finally share this with the world.”
Healey is remembered as one of the most outstanding guitarists and performers of the past 30 years. He lost his sight during early childhood due to retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer. Playing guitar since the age of three, he developed the distinctive lap-style guitar technique that helped bring him international attention by his late teens. A Grammy nominee and JUNO Award winner, his five releases with The Jeff Healey Band totaled millions of sales worldwide. Over the course of his career, he also shared stages and earned the admiration of countless other musicians including B.B. King, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the Allman Brothers Band.
Healey died on March 2, 2008 at age 41 after a three-year battle with sarcoma cancer.

the greatest of the greats..i have had the honor and privilage of seeing Jeff many times and was always blown away. look forward to the new album…is there a preorder date
Hi Nick! For now the PledgeMusic site is the only place for preorders. Please stay tuned for more details! ~Rog
I’m ready today……..in fact I’ve wanted more of Mr. Healey’s so called (sonic torture) since I heard his last song on disc which happened to be a version of Muddy Waters’ “I’m Ready”. Very little time passes by wherein I don’t think of Jeff and the time I saw him up close and personal at the Little Bear in Evergreen Colorado on a sub zero night sharing the stage with Buddy Miles. I’ll pull the trigger today for a pre-order whenever the time comes to do so. If it’s one record or disc or ten I’ll support this man’s legacy as long as there are shows that become available and beyond as well. The truth be known the soulful cries of weeping souls seem to all find a place to share together. The place they share as one seemed to be set in stone long ago where all of us have been touched either in a simple way or far more deeply because Jeff Healey allowed it to be so. Of course it’s about his great lyrics and music though he is definitely an enigma of passion for the picture of depth seen in anyone who gives and receives until it hurts all the way through. I’ve heard some literally fantastic players who could make a guitar seem to cry out loud like a living breathing thing however very few and very far between have ever allowed those places in our souls to be whispered to like Mr Jeff Healey. His music lives on even though the loss of him here will last forever.
I would love to listen to Jeff music I love the song angel eyes
Thank You. Keep in touch. Merry Xmas All!!!!!!
Great that we can soon get new music from Jeff. Hope we can get it in Europe. Missing this great musician and personality.
First time listener of Jeff’s music on YouTube. Literally blown away. What a talent.
I lived in Mississauga from ’92 to ’03. I was on my lunch break when I saw Jeff and Cristie leaving a popular Mississauga bar on Dundas Str. I gushed and asked Jeff for an autograph and said something awkward about my first time seeing him play at the University of Waterloo student pub. He was incredibly gracious and obliged. I then became a regular of his downtown club, never missing an opportunity to hear him play during the week or on Saturdays with the Jazz Wizards. I remember thinking his style must handicap him, but he always managed to effortlessly play the fattest jazz chords. At the time, I remember thinking, at the risk of hyperbole, that I’m witnessing a miracle. I should just shut up and enjoy the moment. I bought Jeff’s new album today and I was taken back, reliving the memories that I hold dear. Jeff’s playing always evokes so much emotion. The new album is timeless and his best.
RIP Jeff. I really miss you.
