It’s been a hell of a year.
It’s only April and we’ve lost so much. David Bowie, Merle Haggard, Maurice White, George Martin, Paul Kantner, Otis Clay, Keith Emerson, Phife Dawg, Glen Frey, Vanity and incredibly, still even *more*… and now yesterday Prince AND the amazing Lonnie Mack.
Regardless your particular musical tastes, regardless your favourites… *inarguably* the world is a little dimmer today, its soul a little diminished.
So wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, take some time and play your favourite music. Play it alone, play it for someone you love. Play it softly or crank it and shake the heavens. The Earth and all of us collectively need a little soul healing. Let’s all do our part.
Next week, more Heal My Soul, more 50th Celebration details… more light.
‘Jeff Healey: A 50th Celebration’ – Fri. May 27th, Massey Hall
Jeff Healey – All The Saints (from Heal My Soul)
Terrible musical losses. But in the middle of all this music is still grand and loving. So the Heal My Soul from Jeff. Amazing great tunes. Thrills you to the bones – as if he is still around. And he is, the music never dies.
Thanks for this great music…………
Ya know that’s gotta be one helluva bill going on upstairs right now, there’s gotta be one bad ass concert going on this year.
