Welcome one and all!  Today we celebrate the life of our dear friend, husband, brother, father, Jeff Healey on what would have been his 58th Birthday.

Every year, March 25th brings with it a bagful of mixed emotions.

It is a day where we can’t help but think about Jeff’s life, cut so tragically short.  All the things he could have done, the life he could have lived, the music he could have created.  And yet, through it all, the memories, the sheer joy of the man shines through.

This year, as every year, a group of friends, family and peers gathered together to raise a glass, share a story, share some laughter, and remember. (This year, because of the weekend, we bumped things up by a day and met yesterday). There were about 20 of us altogether and it was a wonderful afternoon.  The people who were there stood as a testament to Jeff’s huge personality and the kind of friends that he brought together. There were folks from all walks of life. Young, old, the Jazz world, the Rock world… It’s always a great excuse to reconnect, to take a moment from our equally busy and divergent lives.  Frankly, it’s kind of a gift. Jeff has intertwined all of our lives for a long time and we’re happy to continue the tradition.  It truly is a celebration.

Also, this time around there may, or may not, have been some cameras floating about..

Speaking of cameras, a quick side note. Work on the documentary continues pace. The scope of what we’re doing seems to keep growing… in a really good way. Still a long way from the finish line, but damn, like I said before, I think you’re gonna love it.

Also, in a few short days, we’ll have all the deets for you regarding the Limited Edition ‘Road House: The Lost Soundtrack‘ CD, and the special vinyl bundles that will be available for pre-order on April 1st… and thank you for your patience.

Have yourselves a wonderful day.  Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. Remind someone that you care about them.  Share a laugh and a smile… and remember.

Peace all.
